Ok. After waking up at 9AM I went to the closest travel agency here just to find out i will probably not have time to go to the Salt desert up in Bolivia, and missed by 2 hours the bus to the tour I wanted to do around Salta. Bummer!
Figured...since I was on the road for so long...i´ will take this day to wonder around a city, which in this case is called - Salta.
some of you might think this place has a taste. A salty surprisingly one. well... so far...WRONG. there´s no taste to this place what so ever...
after walking around for two hours I have found...well...ummm...NOTHING. ok ok ok, I got lost on the way, and I think I just found something that looks like something a few blocks from here, but here´s my impression so far of Salta.
hmmmm...After 2 hours of walking around I can tell u Salta has several internet kyosks, a few kyosks of the origional stuff, several empanadas huts and...many many many many many many many garages.
god forbid, every 7.7 of 9 shops here got something to do with cars. I walk around for two hours... and all I can see is garages...and all I coul think is...¨I went to the other side of the world, paid a lot of money for the flight, drove 30 hours by bus all the way here...and i´m in fuckin´Yerukham!!!!!!¨
The first instinct said ¨well....Yerukham can´t be that bad. I´m sure there´s a nice joint here to sit down, play some shesh besh with pro guys and drink bitter tea¨, but... what do u know... NO SHESH BESH here!!!
funny enough, there´s not much else here. yet. totally dead place, but the mountains around are way cool and beautiful. I guess I should b going there soon...
I got so hungry I had to stop for quatro empanadas, which is kinda like the local version of burekas or eggroll, only totally different. filled with beef/chicken/whatever and pretty tasty I must say. Only the thought I couldn´t get out of my head, is that in 2 months from, when Im back home, i´ll sit at my Akhot Yoter new place, we´ll order out Pizza Meter and my longing to the yummy dish will force me to ask for a Pizza Meter empanada although I know in advnace that will suck ass...
but... as long as i´m here i´m gonna kick it. Origionally I was on search for a place called ¨el Viejo Jack¨, which some people claim he has the BEST STEAK IN THE WORLD!!! but... after walking around the city for two hours, and yes, I indeed completed a full circle around the city in two hours, and missing the center, which makes sense in a way since I was walking in a circle around, I had to had something to eat and the empanadas will delay the taste of the #1 candidate for ¨Best Steak in the World¨ in a few hours.
hmmm...4 empanadas cost 1 peso. which is the same price for 1 hour of internet. hmmmm... some people probably have a big dilema here if they are down to their last peso.
Ok, off I go. next is the center, then ¨el Viejo Jack¨and then back to the tourist center to talk again with the big-boobs-small-ass-but-damn-what-an-ugly-face girl over there in hope to find a tour to satisfy my wishes.
hold ur fingerz.
