Ok...so as promised some more photos and text!
It snowed here today...lightly but snowed. good enough for a winter person as I that was suppose to sweat under 35+c degrees now back home.
This is from a boat tour I took yesterday right after I arrived at Ushu. No worries...this time it was no ¨very-likely-death-in-27-seconds¨ experience. Big boat - Small me. They took us tourists to two ¨Islands¨. On the first there was a bunch of seadogs, that were making such a horrible noise for no whatsoever reason, or maybe they were just having sex...in that case, having sex in such cold weather... I can relate to the noises. The second so called Island was full of seadogs (different ones...or so they seemed) and what they those boat people claimed to be Pinguins.
Ok, so maybe it wasn´t a 100% penguin as I was told later, since them cute animals are now on vacation in Brazil, where it´s not THAT cold. but at least it looks kinda like a Penguin, when u r on a boat far enough from them and never saw one up close in your previous days, so... it works. If it looks like a Penguin, or more likely if u r ignorent enough to think it looks like a Penguin, then it´s...a Penguin. Fuck those party poopers!
Thern I took that mentioned in the last post walk. Damn it was nice, until the part my leg got stuck in the mud, that was covered with...much much more mud around it and nowhere else to go. a classic "DOH!".

Ushuaia when it gets dark...

Some sort of Penguins when it gets close enough to take a picture

Some more some sort of Penguins before it gets too late to take a shot
So far even Ushu doesn´t win any steak award. I don´t know...maybe i´ll give it up. So far the best meat I had was either Asado or Lamb (which I had a very good one here last night). Today, for the first time, I had a steak that they didn´t over cooked (in all places the default is closer to mid-well...and if I ask for a "red" steak, I get something closer to Mid), but that still wasn´t close to winning the "best steak in the world" title. I´ll give them this... they are all good steaks...the average steak (spicy or not) here is a good one back home, yet... me is looking pour da best. still.
The lamb I had last night was in an All-You-Can-Eat place, and...well... I can eat. They have kinda many of them down here... and it costs around 20 pesos, which is around 7 usd which is... a little less than 35 shekels, which is around 20 pesos I believe. makes sense now, doesn´t it?
Which reminds me.. in that All-You-Can-Eat place, and in case someone forgot - I can eat, they have this Polish sign that warns the guests - "If you don´t finish all the food in the plate, you need to pay 2 extra pesos!". A flash back to Granny´s famous soup (with EXTRA fat) hit me in a second. Then I was hit by "2 pesos isn´t that much... fill it up chiko!", and the next dish was dedicated to Grandma´s covered-with-fat-soup.

Seadogs - If Emily Valentine likes them enough to ditch Brandon, sure can I

On 2nd thought... I might have to re-consider liking this horrible-noise-making animal
Tomorrow I´m out to the National Park of this¨"Eretz Ha Esh" place. Then the day after I´m leaving at 5:30AM to damn Chile! where they have that torres del Paine, which I mentioned with a photo a few days ago. After a day or two there I´m back to Argentina to Calafate.
Hmmmm... Today I took a tour to the lakes up here. Sadly nothing exciting...but on the way they stopped in this resort where u can do some "winter action"! which means... ice skate, take a dog-sledge ride, ski or ride on this ice motorcycle. Geeky me didn´t think twice. Since the last time I went Ice Skating was around the time girls aimed candies at me in a synagouge, and any other type of mobility in the open space reminds me of the last (and first) time I was on a skateboard (2 yrs before the Synagouge incident, I was sitting on the board, Itzik Gargir pushed me in the back and I ended up crushing myself into a wall and my finger under the front wheels), I chose the dog thing. Only...they looked so cute, beautiful and...poor so I decided no one should be out in this cold carrying around tourists, even if they like to smell poo, and went for the snow motorcycle. I reached 20kph, got a couple of photos with my "motorbike to heaven", and pleasently survived the 20 minute ride.
Midway through the ride I figured I should have used the gloves, but something else hit me - Beastie Boys! soon my iPod went back to its porpuse, to make me happy, and adrock made me rap in the cold, so fuckin´ cold, blowing wind while riding on this snowbike. Perfecto!
Out I go.
