Ain´t no Shafan, Ain´t no Katan, but god damn do I go Apchi in the last days...Last night I went to this pharmacy down here in Calafate, and tried to explain what bothers me. A few years ago I had an idea to come up with a site that will list the word "Tkhorim" in all languages, for people who might need to walk into a pharmacy someday in a foreign country, to help them avoid trying to explain, with their hands, or any other organ, what they suffer from. Lucky me a cold is much easier to explain, yet I walked out of the place with a bag of...something that turned out I need to drink with hot water. The woman kept saying "Vitamin C", which I understood perfectly (I got my moments...) but... that was it. I managed to figure out how to say pills, and "sin" (bli) I can say for a long time now ("Sin Tomate" is a key figure of speech of me here), and with a voice of a question tried to double check if she doesn´t wanna give me dexamol forte or something, but...she insisted on the C thing, so... that´s what I took.
Apchi.
Yep. It did not work very well. Not yet. And it tasted so bad, that I´m not gonna take another one today. Tomorrow I´m taking a flight to Bariloche (where I will try to get some rest in general, one for my cold, and a massage for my oh-so-aching-back), where they suppose to speak better English, or should I say.. suppose to speak English, at least in some level. Will try to deal with the Apchim tomorrow.
Not a smart thing to do when u have a cold, but today I went to see Galciers. Not much else to do around Calafate, well...NOTHING ELSE to do around Calafate, other than that (well...they do offer to go drive on Route 40, which cross Patagonia, and the big hit of this trip is that u can drive for hundreds of kilometers and see NOBODY!!! yet...people actually take this in order to drive and see...nobody! go figure). Anyways, glaciers they have here more than they have Dudai Shemesh on a square km in Balata. . It´s all going down in Lago Argentinos or something like that (Some claim Lago means lake), and it´s pretty amazing. aha.
There are tons of icebergs on the way to the glaciers, that easily do what I´m facing many problems achiving - floating in the water. BLI MATZOFIM!!! what do u know...
But the main thing is to see them big guys, that just stand with this "I have more water inside me than the entire Movil Artzi" attitude. Words, as many as u would like to use, can not explain the size of these big boys, and this is true also if u take into calculation that one photo is worth, give or take a 1000, 1000 words. Simply cause the glaciers are wayyyy too big to fit into a picture from upclose.

Look how easily they float...

If only I could...
So... woke up at 0630 (ah..yeh..we need to discuss this as well...), got on a bus, then on a boat, and sailed... sadly, in order to see the glaciers without a wet window in between it and urself, u gotta go to the deck, which is UNDER THE OPEN SKY!!! Not such a scary experience in general, most of the time, but when it´s snowing outside, the temp is the right one for snow and the boat is sailing (think of the wind chill factor...), that´s pretty much not the smartest thing to do when u r apching all the time.
Apchi.
But..it was worth it. Beautiful indeed. Very very impressive. No doubt. Tomorrow I´m waking up around 0700 (I know, I know, we need to discuss this...), and going in my rented car (just a daily one as I have to get back in time to make it to the flight) to Glacier Moreno, which suppose to be a pretty fuckin´ impressive one 4 itself. Until then... u got these pictures to savor.

Yep. He got water more than all of us.

Part of one of them big boys
Hmmm..and to think I didn´t write shit yet about the Torred del Paine.. oh well...a big experience for itself...but ...I guess u will have to settle for only photos on this one.
Ok. waking up thingie (wakkie wakkie eggs and bakkie). If I´m not wrong.. for the past 4 days IN A ROW, i´m waking up in very illegal hours of the day. As some of you might recall I left Ushuaia at 0530 on the way to Punto Natales, but for that I did the usual trick of staying up all night...the next morning I woke up around 0700 for the Torres del Paine tour, the next day at 0645 to make it to the 0730 bus to Calafate, and today at the time mentioned to make it to the tour. Ah, yeh, day #4 is tomorrow... I need to leave Calafate at around 0800 if I wanna see enough of the Moreno glacier before my flight.
Four days in a row that I´m waking up, what do u know..without a phone call from Mom, at an illegal hour that I usually know only from the side of going into the bed (when I´m sleeping in one), and not leaving it. I believe Mom would have sponsored all this trip and added 3 more months just for this little piece of information. Lil´ me can wake up so god damn early in the morning... doesn´t make sense. at all.

The famous towers in the Torres del Paine
Which brings me to the next topic - Asado del Tira. This the full name of the Asado dish down here in this continent. Asado (aka ribs for those who aren´t familiar) is usually a very very good dish down here in this continent, only last night, for the first time, I experienced the "del Tira" part of the dish.

You can spot the towers in the back, or inside the water
Del means "From", which for a very bad Spanish speaking as me means the Asado comes from Tira, which isn´t exactly a sign for quality beef back in Israel. Yep, the Asado I had last night felt like it came all the way from the Arabic Tira. A true disgrace to the Asado institude...never again!
After creaming all night over the Cordero (lamb) I had at the "El Asador Patagonica" (these guys even have a site...), I had to go through the Tira Asado last night. Hopefully not a start of a downward spiral...
Which leaves me with this to finish with...
There are tons of "there are two types of people" but here´s one that I came up with two nights ago. Since I had to stay a 2nd night in Punto Natales, Chile, I went back to my beloved resturant, and faced a deadly dilema. Since this is probably my last time in that place, at least in the upcoming 30 years, what do I order? The same very very very good thing I had the night before, or take the risk with another dish, that might be even more amazing or at least as amazing, or... could stain the place and make me leave it with a bad taste?
Safe-walking-me went for the same dish for the 2nd time... but I´m pretty sure u can divide the population to one that will go safe with the same dish, and the one that will take the risk with a different dish or what do u know even with a different place!!!
And with this I´m gonna part ways. Funny, I don´t think I apchied since I started bloging. Maybe this is the cure? I owe a big big big big debt...the story of August 18th... but too many things keep happening that... I don´t find the time.
Anyways, tomorrow, as written, I´m up to Bariloche, where they suppose to have the most amazing chocolade, ice cream and... some say "The best steak in the world"... we shall see.
Adios.
