מה זה בעצם "Mr. Cellophane" ?

משום מה השאלה הזאת עלתה כבר כמה פעמים בזמן האחרון, והנה ההזדמנות להסביר:

"Mr. Cellophane" הוא שם של שיר אותו מבצע (ובכשרון רב יש לומר) ג'ון סי. ריילי בסרט "שיקאגו". בסרט הוא מגלם את בעלה האומלל והנבגד של רנה זלווגר.

בהקשר המקורי השם "Mr. Cellophane" הוא משל להתעלמות וחוסר תשומת הלב לה זוכה הדמות, אך הכוונה שלי בבחירת השם הזה היתה שונה לגמרי: אני דווקא חשבתי על זה שאני יכול להיחשף פה באופן שאנשים יכירו אותי בצורה כמעט אינטימית, ובכל זאת כל אחד מכם יכול ללכת מולי ברחוב ולעולם לא לדעת מי אני.

תוסיפו לזה את העובדה שזה השיר שהכי אהבתי מתוך הסרט והנה התשובה שלכם.
