فِي مناظرَ قاسيةٍ من العيشِ
مفروشةٍ تَحْتَ أقدامِنا
الشّروقُ والغُروبُ
يزدادُ الحُزنُ .
كلّ انزِيماتِ رؤيةِ الحُزنِ
مَصْدَرُها الإنسانُ وتَدُورُ بداخِلِنَا
والحزنُ المُشرفُ عَلَينا
تُثْقِلُ على حِدّةِ النَظَر، نَظَرِ السّعادَةِ
وبتَوتُّر هَذا الحُزنِ
تَحْيَا السّعَادَةُ التّيِ في عَمودي الفِقَرِي.
