As I sit mirrored, all I'll be

My own worlds stare back at me

I feel them coming, closing in

My tarnished mirror life within

I hear them laughing, carrying on

My dying echoes all alone

They burn me, waste me, bare to bone

The fading voice of hope's all gone

Fight the light that's pouring in

My precious shadow – all I've been

I fight, I run, I won't be seen

They say illusions burn their skin

Awoke from sleep I stood up tall

My burning shadow one and all

No tarnished mirror, gone's my wall

My breaking heart, my glow, my soul
