ביום חמישי היו מכות בבצפר! זה היה בין שיעור שישי לשביעי.. באתי לכיתה של שיעור שביעי, ESL, והמורה פתאום משכה אותי לכיתה ולא הבנתי מה קרה.. ובכיתה היו עוד ילדים מESL שלא איתנו בכיתה.. אז שאלתי מה קרה ואמו שיש מכות.. אז חשבתי ואוו מכות זה קורה לפעמים שיש מכות בבצפר, מה כולם מלהבים פתאום?! אבל המכות לא היו סתם מכות, 20 אנשים נעצרו והיו מלא בלגאנים.. שני שוטרים נפגעו...
יום למחרת זה היה בחדשות ובעיתון.. :O ביום שישי הלכתי יום מוקדם מהבצפר כי היה לי תור לרופא, שחתם לי על החוברת של הנהיגה, שאני יוכל לעשות את התיאוריה. בקיצור היו שם ליד הבצפר אנשים עם מצלמה ומיקרופון.. מדברים. כשכל התלמידים יצאו הם צילמו..

20 arrested in fights at Allderdice

A dispute between East Hills and Hazelwood students at a neighborhood basketball game was blamed for a series of fights yesterday at Pittsburgh Allderdice High School.
About 20 students were arrested after several fights broke out after noon on the second and fourth floors of the Squirrel Hill school. School police summoned city officers for help, and order was restored by 12:45 p.m.
One student may have aggravated a previous shoulder injury, and two school police officers were injured, Pittsburgh Public Schools spokeswoman Ebony Pugh said. One of those officers remained hospitalized last night with a spinal cord injury.
"It was just really chaotic and rowdy," said Talya Levenson, a 16-year-old junior who found herself on the fringe of a group of students surrounding the fight on the school's fourth floor. "I've seen fights before at our school but this one seemed really serious. I was getting scared watching."
The students who were arrested face charges of disorderly conduct and aggravated assault. Some were released to parents, and others were sent to Shuman Juvenile Detention Center, said Ms. Pugh.
None of the students who were arrested will be allowed in school today, Ms. Pugh said, and most of them will face disciplinary hearings.
The fights occurred between sixth and seventh period, and some students were delayed getting to their classes, said Talya. Students were held longer than usual at the end of the remaining class periods and were dismissed by floor at the end of the school day.
Ms. Pugh didn't have details about Wednesday's dispute at the neighborhood basketball game and it was unclear where it took place. But she said the school was concerned enough to take preventative measures.
Yesterday morning, school officials met with students who were involved in the basketball fight and set up a mediation that was supposed to be held today. In addition, school officials had extra police on hand at school yesterday, in case there was any trouble.
"It seemed like the incident was under control," said Ms. Pugh.
She said police will have an increased presence today as well and that additional arrests are possible as officers review physical evidence and interview witnesses.
John Tarka, president of the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, said that he was "very concerned" about yesterday's fight and the injuries to the police officers, who are union members.
He said, "The PFT will work with the school district to make sure that every effort is made to guarantee the safety of all that work in and attend schools."
Roseanne Levine, president of Allderdice's Parent-Teacher Organization, praised police and school officials for their quick action to quell the fight. She noted that the number of students who were fighting represented a very small fraction of the entire student body.
"If 20 students were fighting, that means that 1,382 students weren't fighting, and the parents of those students should praise their children and
tell them how proud they are of them," Ms. Levine said.

בהתחלה דיי פחדתי לעשות את זה כי לא ידעתי איזה שאלות יהיו ואם אני מוכנה. אבל אבא שלי אמר לי ביום שישי, ביום שרופא חתם, שנלך לעשות את זה מחר. אז חזרתי על החוברת. ואני שמחה שלא חיכיתי עם זה!
עכשו אני רק צריכה לעשות את הסושיאל סקיוריטי נאמבר ואז אבא שלי יוכל ללמוד אותי לנהוג.
