 Why Einstein Is Overrated
Albert Einstein. 14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955.German theoretical physicist. Famously noted for his theory of relativity among other things such as discovery of the photoelectric effect. Einstein received a Nobel prize at 1921 in physics for that discovery. Einstein is named "genius" quite on a regular basis. First off, what does "genius" even mean? There is no definite definition but generally "genius" means invention, creativity, high capacity of intelligence, originality. There could be no definite definition because we aren't even sure what intelligence in general means. There are many variants and many specifications on the subject. Now having that in mind let's review Einstein for a moment: "Albert Einstein, theoretical physicist". "THEORETICAL PHYSICIST". Ask anyone you want and that person will tell you that Einstein because he invented the theory of general relativity. But what does that mean? It's a theory. It's not a creation and it's not authentic because we can't really know if it's right, we're just playing guessing games and giving out prizes at random to whoever grabs our attention the most. Einstein's Nobel prize in 1921 for the photo-electrical effect was for a discovery. Yes, he discovered the effect, he didn't invent it. Kudos for the discovery but any other physicist with the same luck could have made that discovery (or a any other discovery for that matter). By the way, yes, Einstein was known for grabbing attention. Why Einstein and not any other theoretical physicist? Why not Seth Eddermeyer , J.Robert Oppenheim or any other of physicists that worked on the Manhattan Project? How about the other 130,000 employees? Most of the hype began after Einstein moved to the U.S.A to avoid death in the Nazi Germany. It was most convenient for the media to use Einstein against the Nazi Germany as psychological warfare and propaganda. Also conveniently he was Jewish making him even better for use against the Nazis, him being a known physicist. At one point he was even asked to become the second president of Israel. Ironically he cared nothing for his Jewish heritage. So what are we left with after so many years? Misconceptions and beliefs that originated from propaganda more over than half a century ago. Nowadays Einstein is an icon used on any commercial object be it t-shirts, cups, posters, drawings , hats. Whatever you could think of really.Useless garbage to squeeze money out of people.
Here's a list of other famous scientists, mathematicians, philosophers, artists and other people with impressive expertise in their fields of study from history who don't even get close to the same credit or hype: Felix Hausdorff Ludwig Wittgenstein
Leonhard Euler Srinivasa Ramanujan Leonardo da Vinci MC Escher Kurt Gödel Socrates Martin Heidegger Michelangelo René Magritte Max Ernst Carl Jung Julius Robert Oppenheimer James Clerk Maxwell Charles Robert Darwin and many, many more.
