Torment and despair

Parasites of doom

Overpopulating my blood

Emptiness crys out of my eyes

As all meaning has been

Washed away out of my mind

Along with the storm and the flood

I'm sick of this cold air and disgust

All those years I've been breathing in

I'm sick of this fading poisoned soil

All those years I've been walking on

Deep under my skin

Fire burns ought to be free again

Buried scars arise to the surface

From the depths of this damned ocean

I've tried to fight

But it's time for a flight

The sun will not shine tomorrow

As there will be no such day
