from Sikkim I arrived to Darjeeling planning to take the toy train and go south, but thgings changed.
I met 2 germans girls and one Irish guy in Chrismas and we went together to Varanaci. the train was overbooked and we had to sleep on the floor, when poor Maria trying to sleep on my sholder.
Varanaci was really nice. we stayed in the burning ghat and celebrate new year eav. it was "awesome". we met Hili, a friend from jerusalem and visited a few temples, one fort, the univercity and made friends with Indian guy from varanaci who gradguated Benares University.
we stroled up and down the ghats and took the boat trip. then the german girls kidnapped us to Nepal for a week.
that was intertesting. 2 days bus ride to pokhara and a few days of going here and there. we hiked to sarankot, slept over and watched the sunrise on the Anapurna range. the hike included wet rice fields, steep riverbad and maria&kamila strugeling the boulder scrumbling.
we took a nice boat in the lake and had a bike tour to another lake, where we ate good fish.
a walk around the pokhara lake resoulting in amnother fish lunch somed up the week and we took a ass paining 31 hours bus ride to the west border, including 3 roadblocks and 6 hours of break because of protest. nepal is very shaky after the maoists tooke over.
Nepal is not cold in the winter surprisingly.
I had the briliant idea of visiting Nainital for a few days before reaching Delhi. we enjoyed it very much. the girls went shoping while me and Allan went hiking in the hills around the town, seeing the amazing Nanda Devi Himalaya massif.
Nainital is in south east of Utaranchal, and sourunded by a lake, which is holy (dedicated to shiva's wife, seti, god, he has so many))
a night train to Delhi were the start of the agra race. we moved with all the bags between train stations and eventually borded on a superfast train to Agra. in matura the conductor kicked us out because we had general class tickets and we tryied to sit in the sleeper class.
we carry on after 30 minutes in another train and went to see the taj mahal.
me and Allan stayed outside and didnt paid the 750 Rs, in a dicision of a moment. it seemed to me like a money machine so I saved the many like a good Romanian.
from agra we came backe to delhi and took the train to Bombay. the girls had a reserved ticket but me and allan had general tickets, so we got fined 430 Rs by the inspector. talkk about bad luck. 24 hoiurs train ride had finished in steaming hot Mumbay(Bombay) and aranging the travel to the south of India- Keralla.
