שמעתי את הג'יפ מתחת לחלון חדרי, ופחות מדקה אחרי כן, צלצל הפעמון בדלת.
ידעתי שזה הוא.
בואי לקפה אמר.
יש עוגה שנאפתה לכבוד היומולדת שלי (היה לפני יומיים).
החלפתי בגדים, ועליתי איתו לדירה.
הפעיל את המחשב עם המוזיקה.
ואחר הכין את הקפה, תוך כדי שיחה.
קמתי להנמיך את הקול, במחציתו של הסלון חשתי את זרועו אוחזת בי ומסובבת אותי אליו, וכך סבבנו בריקוד בסלון הריק (אישתו האחרונה לקחה כמעט את כל הרהיטים), חבוקים, אני עומדת על קצות האצבעות (הוא גבוה ואני יחפה), פניי טמונות בכתפו, ועיניי דומעות" למשמע הקול של פרנקסי:

כשנגמר השיר הוא פנה להנמיך מפאת השכנים, ומפאת השיחה, ואני מסובבת את גבי אליו, מחיתי דמעה.
וכך ישבנו לנו, משוחחים, על הא ועל דא והשיחה הייתה נעימה.
כשהוא נגש שוב להחליף שיר בסדרה, אני חבשתי את המסכה עם הנוצות, ושוב סבבנו לנו בריקוד צמוד, לצלילי קול הקטיפה:

ושוב סבבנו בסלון, ואני חשתי כמו נסיכה בנשף המסכות של ונציה, והפעם לריקוד היה אופי מעט יותר חושני, כשהוא מלווה את הזמר, בקול מלא כוונה, ומביט בי בזמרו- unforgettable
ואני חייכתי אליו בעיניים מצועפות, והוא נשק לצווארי.
את הריקוד הבא עשינו חבוקים כשגבי נסמך אליו, ובידינו כוסיות משקה ענקיות, והוא מאמץ אותי לחיקו, ולוחש לי "ילדה שלי קטנה".
