Niceswamp
I like the swamp on the southshore, o yes I do
icy winter, bloomy spring, steamy summer
but mostly I like it in the fall
when it is unbelievably, painfully, beautiful-bright
In the morning, when I jog
I recognize
a trashy throws old boards
near the swamp (you'll NEVER see it in the northshor, o no you wouldn't
but I’m not angry! no I’m not
I still like you, trashy
and I still like the swamp, even if a little trashy
Keep jogging
I meet a hunter
knowing how important is
to be friendly to hunters, I beg
hey hunter, may you be careful
I’m not a duck
and will you please be so nice
to let me survive
the swamp
Then
going deeper, down
into the heart
of the swamp
I realize
I may better
be friendly
also to god
hey, brother, I say
will you be so nice
to say a word
to some unbelievably, painfully beautifully-bright
girl I met
wana her joinin me here near the swamp god
yes I do god, o yes I do
