I've just read a post some idiot wrote about the Pride Parade. He said that if LGBT's aren't loud, if they don't go fucking one another in the streets, they don't get noticed.
Let me clear something up: I have absolutely nothing against LGBT's. I've many LGBT friends (most of my online friends are, and the straight minority comments about it very often), I have a special affection towards lesbians (as was stated on the 'Love' list), and Oscar Wilde is one of my role models (what a brave man!). But that doesn't mean I think the so-called 'Pride Parade' is of any benefit.
Let us look at it logically:
What are the Parade's goals? Simple, to get LGBT rights, like the right to marry, right to inherit one another, the right not to be discriminated at work, &c. (varies from place to place). To sum it up, what the LGBT's are looking for is legistlative progress in their favour.
So, how does one get the forementioned legistlative progress? Usually, voting and protesting. (In this case, voting is irrelevant.)
How does one protest for legal goals? First of all, one aims one's protests at those in charge, those who can do something about the matter. Id est, the Parliament. Then, the protests should be done in a way the Parliament finds acceptible. In all protests, actually, one should speak as the one towards the protests are aimed at wants to hear. That means the LGBT's should:

Emphasise their contribution to society, in the fields of culture, science, &c.;

Emphasise the fact that they aren't really different from other people;

Emphasise the benefits of this progress, as other countries would look up to the given country as an example of progress;

At least in the Knesset's case, emphasise their economic benefit (the Americans already understand how important they are);

And most importantly, KEEP IT CIVIL!
What do the Paraders do? In Israel, for one, they go parade in religious areas, they go to the Western Wall, they go make lots and lots of noise, they walk around in grotesque clothing (or should I say non-clothing?) which only emphasise some difference they think there is... They basically do everything they should do in reverse! (And I'm pretty certain the case isn't much different in other places.)
The results are that the religious minority becomes enfuriated and holds the whole Knesset by the balls. Eventually, the Parade is reduced to a very pathetic event, with more people in blue uniform than in pink lack thereof, and even then that fucktard Baruch Marsl and his minions go around telling people, 'I hope you have a life insurance.' In Israel so far three people were stabbed and injured, but in Moldova they were brutally beaten. Is that what the LGBT's are after?
To sum it up, before you go around yelling on the YNet and Walla! articles' reply sections things like 'were gay and proud of it and were goin to march in jerusalem!!!!!!! [sic]', think a little about how you do it. I don't want my friends to get the stigma of a vulgar, loud, and stupid lot (along with some great people of culture, who'd rather, I suppose, be associated with Sappho, Wilde, Tchaikovsky, and even Michaelangelo, and many, many more) because of you. Think about it: what would have happened to Oscar Wilde had he acted like you in his trial instead of giving that marvelous speech about 'The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name'? And have you seen feminists making 'Cunt Parades'?
Something to think about.

(Post scriptum, on a more personal note: M. F. said he wants a real-life relationship; id est, not me. I nearly cried yesterday because of that. And yes, that was one of the reasons I was so cross when I wrote the last post, as well as this one.
