I've had it. You know what? I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT GIL'AD SHALIT. There, I said it. There are things way more important than one bloke I don't even know who is held captive somewhere, who should've taken the scenario he's in into consideration when he decided to go to the unit he went to. Besides, they say they are kind to him. They even celebrated his fucking birthday!
I've had enough of all the idiots who write 'G=I=L=A=D I=S S=T=I=L=L A=L=I=V=E!!!' as a reply to any article on the internet. I'm tired of the idiots who criticise everyone who writes on the internet anything that doesn't have to do with Gil'ad Shalit for writing about things that don't compare in importance to Shalit. For fuck's sake, there's an idiot on GoGay.co.il that won't stop writing replies saying 'WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH GIL'AD SHALIT YOU FAGGOTS?????? I BET YOU SLEEP REAL GOOD AFTER GETTING BONED UP THE ARSE!!!!!' (Sic, only with many more mistakes.) FaceBook is bombed with groups titled 'Bring Back Gil'ad Shalit!' in many variations.
How many of these idiots have an actual opinion about how he should be brought back? Hardly any. Even if they do, it's completely non-realistic (like eliminating Gaza or killing all the Arabs, or bringing back the 300 murderers Hamas wants for him). So even if I do show solidarity, it means absolutely nothing.
You should care more about the bus full of Russian tourists that just flipped over on the way to Eilat, with 25 deaths. It happened right on the day of the Big Brothel's final, and guess which got more attention? The Final, of course. That was, naturally, the hot subject on IsraBlog.
I don't care that the Israeli version was pretty much the only version in which people didn't fuck like rabbits in front of the cameras. The Israeli culture is still as rotten as hell and dying away. All my friends are already lamenting it. I didn't even bother to arrive at the funeral.
Unum diem...
(EDIT: I should have done this a long time ago. If you speak Hebrew, read this. An excellent blog I think you'll love. I sure did!)
