Because I cannot be democratic when a Catholic homosexual tells me he 'feels like a sin every day', but won't bother to learn the facts about his own ridiculous religion and live at ease ('Must everything be facts?' Uhh... AYE!). I could not believe anyone can have such an absurd way of thinking. Not about the future, not about colliding with his own ideas, not about anything. But everything's alright, because 'God loves sinners as well'.
And mind you, Catholicism is the religion with the most followers in the world today. Islam exceeds it only when all sects are calculated.
People don't want to think. They don't want to learn the facts. If they vote, they vote for the best orator, not the best man (as was the case with Begin and Netanyahu). So stop fighting human nature: democracy is fucked up. It works in some countries because they don't have a lot to deal with, but try putting them in Israel's shoes. It's certainly not working here!
So I suggest you stop believing your teacher who says there can't be freedom if people can't vote. Mine does, and I think she added a spare apostrophe and t somewhere.

(P.S.: I heard the Swedish versions of Fernando, Waterloo, and S.O.S. by ABBA. That was funny to hear, but turned too much by S.O.S., and surprising to find out they sang in Swedish too. Look for it on YouTube.)
