I translated (most of) my latest post yesterday, but accidentally clicked 'Erase' instead of 'Save'. Hence, and since an infantile lazy schmuck, you'll just have to read the New Testament yourself and come to the conclusion nothing has essentially changed, especially if you look at the Catholic church.
The Hagada surprised me. Sitting at the seder, I translated to some Swedish volunteers the text as it was read in the seder at the kibbutz (where my grandparents live), and I came across the following paragraph (translation by me):
'At that time the Angels wished to sing before the Blessed Sacred One [common name for God in Jewish writings]. The Blessed Sacred One said unto them, "My own creations are drowning in the sea, and ye wish to sing before me?"'
Kibbutz decadence is shockingly catchy. Beware when you come volunteer.
Unum diem...
