So here we are, at the Westin O'Hare, ready for a mind-blowing weekend. Making it here yesterday was one hell of a nightmare (a lot of it is thanks to America and American Airlines in particular (I was basically quoting this)), but it was all totally worth it the moment i stepped into my Westin.

I just can't explain how good it feels to be back here. I haven't been here in about two years and I've missed that so much. On our way here we heard people talking about Michael and Joe and I all of a sudden realized it was real - Stargate Chicago con is happening this Friday! I can't explain how good it feels to be surrounded by geeks all over again. I've missed everything in here, no matter how small and seemingly insignificant - even the scent in the hotel.

Man, I'm just happy.

So tomorrow we're gonna head downtown. We'll check out Chicago (I have missed that city so frikkin much!), hopefully head to the Navy Pier (Haven't had the chance to visit there the last time I was in Chicago) and buy me an iPhone.

Tomorrow... Chicago Con BEGINS!
