Ode to those i have loved and left

Here's to the friends,

the neglegent lot

and to men, I loved a few.

Here's to dawn

and to sentiments, 

here's to bats

and beautiful words,

swirling like smoke from a cigarette, and vanishing, just like that same smoke.

Here's to darkness

and white walls

and cocroaches

and to substantial amounts of beer.

Here's to you

all the thousands that you consists of

and to me, just the one.

Here's to forever,

that never lasted.
